Tony Cardone

Tony Cardone for Monroe Town Supervisor

Tony Cardone

Tony Cardone ran for Monroe Town Board in 2015, winning his Council seat by an overwhelming margin. Tony Cardone, sees the need for new leadership and has made the decision to run for the Town Supervisor seat this November. Tony has been a Monroe resident for over 47 years and is a husband, father of three, and small local business owner.

In the short time on the Monroe Town Board he has been instrumental in reducing the overage on the Monroe Movie Theater, hiring a competent planner to update the Monroe comprehensive plan to tighten up zoning, and hiring an auditing firm to perform a full financial audit of the Town’s finances, something not done in over a decade. In addition, Tony and his fellow board members eliminated the bloated and unnecessary public safety department, cut thousands of dollars in unnecessary spending within the finance department and strived to consolidate animal shelter services with Woodbury to cut costs.

Prior to being a Councilman, Tony served on the Monroe Joint Parks and Recreation Commission for 25 years and also held senior leadership positions in the following organizations: MW Pop Warner Football, Monroe-Woodbury Parents Football Club, The Michael J. Finnegan Scholarship Foundation and Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley.
